Matthew L. Clark

Mr. Clark is an attorney with a passion for helping clients solve the most challenging legal problems. He has significant experience handling complex civil litigation matters. Such matters have involved the Virginia Uniform Power of Attorney Act, the Virginia Uniform Trust Code, the Virginia Stock Corporations Act, the Virginia Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act, the Virginia Uniform Arbitration Act, the guardianship and conservatorship of incapacitated persons, commercial and contract law, and various other laws governing wills, estates, and domestic relations.

Mr. Clark is also experienced with estate planning, estate administrations, and business law matters. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and New York.

Before joining Campbell Flannery, Mr. Clark practiced law at two leading law firms in Northern Virginia and at the international law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. His legal career began in 2009 when he began and completed a two-year term as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Irene M. Keeley, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of West Virginia.

Mr. Clark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University in 2006 and his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2009. As a law student, Mr. Clark was a published member of the West Virginia Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10% of his class).

Mr. Clark is a native of Loudoun County and a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School. He and his wife, Alessandra, live in Hamilton, Virginia, with their two sons and French Bulldog. Mr. Clark is a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and serves on the Hamilton Town Council.

He also serves as General Counsel on a pro bono basis to HeroHomes, Inc., a local non-profit organization.
